MSCi has acquired a new agency at VUV Analytics
VUV Analytics develops UV-detectors that operates in the vaccuum ultraviolet spektrum (120-240 nm). Nearly all gas phase compounds absorbs in the vacuum ultraviolet spectrum, and results in unique spectral information
The detectors are capable of differentiating between both isomers and the co-eluting compounds, without the need for chromatographic baseline resolution
Several applications
Multiple ASTM-methods are based on the use of a VUV-detectors, whhich analyses e.g.,
- Paraffins olifins, naphthenes and aromats in oil
- Content of jet fuel

Compatibility
The VUV-detector are compatible with most GCs and delivers both qualitative and quantitative data Complements mass spectrometry by fully characterizing isomers and compounds with low mass quantitation ions.
