Microwave sample treatment
The system:
Is an electronic taste-impression module which uses 7 fluid sensors to provide a potentiometric output from the sample. This module allows quantification of the classical concepts such as sour, salty, umami, but also other sensory concepts such as: metallic, pungent, astringent and so on.
Data processing
Again, the strongest part of the system might well be the AlphaSoft software that enables a quantitative and statistical evaluation of the measurement results using the statistical data processing and chemometric analysis package, which over time will reduce or eliminate the necessity of a sensory panel.
Applications
ASTREE is typically used as a supplement for analyzes and taste assessments, most often based on the use of sensory panels.
