This training course is online and delivered in English
Training course overview
This course is a 3-day online course.
MassHunter 1 will provide a general introduction to the Masshunter software, and an introduction to data analysis of data from combined chromatography and mass spectrometry, particularly GCMS (but also applicable to LCMS data).
The course is intended as an introductory course – for those working with GCMS instrumentation it could be viewed as a natural successor to our training course “Introduction to GCMS”.
Training course contents
- General overview of the MassHunter software.
- Typical workflow when using MassHunter QUAL.
- Total ion chromatograms and extracted ion chromatograms.
- Working with chromatograms: integration.
- Extraction of mass spectra and qualitative work.
- Simple reporting from the QUAL program.
- Typical workflow when working with MassHunter QUANT.
- Using batches.
- Managing calibration tables.
- Integration and calibration parameters.
- Simple reporting and data export from QUANT.
Training methodology
The training course consists of a mixture of theory overview and practical work with sample data using the participants own PCs with MassHunter and with data generated and sent from the teacher.
Prerequisites
The participant should possess a basic knowledge of chromatography and mass spectrometry, for example corresponding to our training course “Introduction to GCMS”.
We do not assume any prior knowledge of the MassHunter software.
Practical
Once signed up and the course is finally confirmed, the participant will receive a link to attend the training.
